Tours

Call the school to schedule a tour. Tours are given Monday through Thursday and include a visit with our Head of School, Irene Rudnick. Please anticipate at least 1.5 hours for your tour.

Application Forms

Once you have decided to pursue admission, complete an application form and return it to the Jewish Community Day School together with your non-refundable $50.00 application fee. Applications to JCDS are due in our office by January 31st. Applications received after that date will be considered based on available spaces.

Recommendations and Transcripts

Submit all forms and documentation to JCDS before the January 31st deadline.
These include:

Teacher Evaluation forms

The Teacher Evaluation Form should be given to your child’s current teacher after December 1st. Forms should be returned directly to JCDS.

Transcript/Records Release form

Return completed Records Release Form to JCDS. We will contact applicant’s current school and have the records sent directly to our Admissions office. If this is child’s first school experience, no transcript or evaluation forms are required. 

Student Visit

We look forward to getting to know your child. Upon receipt of your application, we will invite your child in for a classroom visit and a chat with our Admissions Director.

• Applicants to pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten will spend at least 1.5 hours in our pre-K room.

• Applicants to 1st grade and above will visit in the appropriate class with children at their age level. Visits include an academic screening and last between 1.5 Hours and a full day depending on the grade.

Admissions Decisions

Once we have received and reviewed all admissions material, an admission decision will be mailed out by March 10th.

A deposit, required to reserve a place for your child, is due back in our office by the end of March.
