Would you like to learn how to knit or work
on your own knitting project in a club
setting? Join our very popular Knitty Gritty
Club and learn the basics of knitting, knit
belts, potholders, samplers, scarves, wild
bags, a baby afghan for a women’s shelter,
and more. Also, members will create a “wild
and crazy” fabric scarf. Knitting is
officially HIP! Knitting clubs are in
schools around the globe. You will become a
hip JCDS “knitster” and a “KIP” (knitters in
public). Knitting promotes good hand-eye
coordination, math skills, relaxation,
patience, and creative skills. Our Knitty
Gritty Club is a social experience where we
help each other and make new friends. So
sign up and become a JCDS Knitster! At our
last meeting we will have a special “Needles
and Nosh” Party.
The fee for the ten-week program is $100.00,
the material fee is $5.00 (Needles, 1 set,
and yarn will be provided. Note there will
be no replacements for lost items.), and the
snack fee is $3.00 for a total of $108.00.
The first 12 students who enroll with the
required fee and registration form will be
accepted.
Note: Students will be dismissed from the
school entrance at 4:30.
