NEW: Summer Math "Packet" for Incoming 5th Graders
Shalom! I hope you are enjoying the beginning of summer. I've attached a letter to you about summer math, in lieu of the traditional math packet. Please open and read the attached document. And then have fun choosing the right math activities for your child! Also, I will be contacting you in August to arrange a time for a home visit, toward the end of August. The purpose of the home visit is to help us begin to work as partners in your fifth grader's education and to help your fifth grade child feel more at ease. JCDSRI Annual Meeting, June 2

The slate of officers and directors is as follows:

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO BYLAWS OF JEWISH COMMUNITY DAY
SCHOOL OF RHODE ISLAND

The following is the proposed amendment to the Bylaws of the Jewish Community Day School of Rhode Island:

1. Article VI, Section 9 is hereby replaced in its entirety and the following is set forth in its place:

Section 9. HEAD OF PARENT ASSOCIATION. If there exists a Parent Association, then the President of the Parent Association or a designee mutually acceptable to both the President of the Parents Association and the President of the Board of Trustees shall serve as a voting, ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees and shall be included in the calculations with respect to the number of parents referred to in Article VI, Section 2, supra. If a designee is mutually agreed upon, such designee will serve as a member of the Board of Trustees for an annual term commencing on July 1 and terminating on June 30 of the year next following.
