Become a Greens Subscriber
Dear JCDS Families,
Remember those delicious organic salad greens you
tasted at our Shabbat dinner? Well, now you have one final chance to
become a greens subscriber! This wonderful program helps you eat salads
and supports the school. The grower donates $10 back to our garden
education program. Below are the list of dates for the remainder of the
school year. Please click on the attachment to view pricing. Please
email Jamie Faith Woods, garden team leader, by April 7th, should you
will to sign up: jfwoods@jcdsri.org.
Current subscribers will be automatically re-enrolled, unless they
specify otherwise.

Program Extended through April More
On Tuesday, March 16th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm,
there will be a screening of the documentary
Where Do the Children Play?
at Temple Beth-El in Providence, followed by a panel
discussion. This screening is co-sponsored by the Jewish
Community Day School of Rhode Island and Temple Beth-El.
Featured panelists are Scott Wolf, Executive Director of
GrowSmart RI; Janice O'Donnell, Executive Director of
the Providence Children's Museum; Renee Rudnick,
Assistant Head of School for JCDS-RI; and W. George
Scarlett, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Deputy Chair of
the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development at
Tufts University.

Generous Grant Providence, RI – February 8, 2010
The Jewish Community Day School of Rhode Island is
pleased to announce that we have expanded our technology
integration into the curriculum and are in the process
of updating our equipment, thanks to a generous grant.

Join JCDSRI at a Providence Bruins
game on Sunday, March 7th at 4:05pm.
Tickets are half-price (only $13 each) for
good, lower-level seats. We need at least a group of 10
in order to have our name featured on the screens at the
Dunk! P-Bruins games are a lot of fun. Usually, between
the periods, they have little kids playing hockey, too -
it's really funny to watch! Please check your calendar
and see if you and your family might be interested in

Strategic Planning
Update and Monthly Meetings
The Joint Strategic
Planning Committee will hold monthly meetings to keep you informed and
to give the Board an opportunity to hear your concerns. These meetings
will commence on December 9, 2009 at 7:30 pm in the Bohen Vestry,
99 Taft Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island and will occur on the second
Wednesday of each month until the process is completed.
