Board of Trustees

Sheila Alexander
Sheila Alexander's family was one of the founding families of our school, and her daughter was a member of the very first graduating class.  She is the MATCH and Legacy Program Manager at PEJE. 

Guy Bermel
Treasurer
Guy Bermel is the Chief Financial Officer at the Law offices of Sarah J. Frankel P.C. Guys sons graduated from JCDSRI. Guy has been a long time volunteer at JCDSRI and Temple Emanu-El. He has served on the Board of the Jewish Bureau of Education and other Jewish organizations.

Gloria Feibish
Secretary
Gloria is an education management professional who has served on many Boards throughout the years.  She brings a wealth of experience and commitment to her role at JCDSRI. 

Rachel Friedberg
Vice President
Rachel teaches economics at Brown University, and she has one daughter at JCDSRI (as well as two JCDSRI graduate). 

Daniel Gamm
Past President
Dan and his wife Marisa have two children at JCDSRI and a daughter who is a JCDSRI graduate.  He is a Senior Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial Services. 

Stephen Gamm
Steve is now retired from having both practiced and taught orthodontics for almost 40 years. His wife, Celia, was one of the founders of the day school. Together, they have two grandchildren in the school and two alumni of the school. He is also serving on the Boards of a repertory theatre and a homeowners association.

Hope Hirsch
Hope's family has a long history of involvement at the school, and she is committed to its long-term success.  Hope has served in numerous leadership roles and was Co-Chair of the Annual Fund campaign for several years. 

Jordana Jaffee
Dr. Jordana Jaffee specializes in Internal Medicine and is affiliated with The Miriam Hospital. Jordana’s daughters attend JCDSRI. She has been active in fundraiser endeavors and the development of after school Spanish classes.

Laurence Kotler-Berkowitz
President
Laurence is the Director of Research and Analysis at the Jewish Federations of North America.  He and his wife, who is the Co-President of our Parents Association, have three children at JCDSRI. 

Robert Landau
Bob's daughters graduated from JCDSRI. Bob has been actively involved in the Jewish community for many years. He is the co-leader of the firm’s Healthcare Group. Bob was selected for inclusion on the 2012 Rhode Island Super Lawyer list.  He is a seasoned litigator who focuses his practice on defending hospitals, physicians, nurses, dentists, social workers, psychologists and other health care providers in malpractice lawsuits and disciplinary proceedings. He has successfully represented clients in the state and federal courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

John Landry
PA Representative
John Landry is a business writer and historian, and he and his wife have twin boys at the school.

Sarah Mack
Rabbi Sarah Mack has served Temple Beth-El since 2003, upon her ordination from the New York campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Rabbi Mack also spent a year studying at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. She graduated from Brandeis University in 1996 with degrees in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and English. A native of Seattle, Washington, Rabbi Mack served pulpits in Juneau, Alaska; Bainbridge Island; Washington; and New York City as a student before coming to Temple Beth-El. Rabbi Mack serves on the national Women’s Rabbinic Network Board as the New England representative.

Debbie Mann
Debbie Mann is 1994 graduate of JCDSRI. She is Vice President at Creative Impressions in Providence and currently lives in Massachusetts with her fiancé. Debbie is actively involved with Combined Jewish Philanthropies and Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly in Boston.


David Rosler
Dave and his wife, Kristin (aka Science Mom), have two kids at JCDSRI and his wife Kristin is Science Mom.  He is a Program Manager at the Providence VA Medical Center.
 

Deborah Shuster
Deb is a financial advisor at UBS and the parent of a JCDSRI graduate. 

Alison Walter
Alison is the Co-Chair of the Young Leadership Network at the Jewish Federation of RI, and she has served as the Co-Chair of the JCSRI Annual Fund campaign for several years.  She is the parent of a Kindergarten JCDSRI student.
