Shalom to the JCDSRI
Family and Friends,
It’s now the end of
July, and I am very excited to be here as
part of your JCDSRI family as the Assistant
Head of School. Hopefully you are all
enjoying your monsoon summer vacations even
as Bob, Eileen, Naomi, Vicky and I have been
continuing to plan for the upcoming school
year. I have had the privilege of meeting
with teaching staff and some of the parents,
students, and Board members as I continue my
exploration of the wonderful spirit and
educational program at JCDSRI. I look
forward to meeting and getting to know each
and every one of you and your children as
the year progresses.
Let me introduce myself
briefly. I come to JCDSRI as an educator and
mom intimately connected to and passionate
about Jewish day schools. My husband and I
have three grown daughters, two of whom
attended the Jewish day school in Worcester,
MA through eighth grade. During this time I
became an active lay leader at the school,
eventually becoming President of the Board.
I also achieved my Masters Degree in Near
Eastern/Judaic Studies from Brandeis
University to compliment my BA in Elementary
Education and my years of teaching in
Marblehead, MA public elementary schools.
For the next eight years I was able to
combine my passions for teaching and for
Jewish studies as a teacher at the Jewish
day school in Worcester. In addition to
teaching both general and Judaic subjects, I
also had responsibilities as Family
Educator, Math Coordinator, and as part of
the administrative team. Therefore it is
with a deep love and commitment to education
and to Jewish day schools that I come to be
part of the administrative staff at JCDSRI.
As Assistant Head of
School I will be working closely with
Headmaster Bob Sarkisian and the entire
staff to ensure that your children are
happy, knowledgeable and successful students
with an enriched understanding of their
Judaism. I am looking forward to learning
and celebrating with them and with you
throughout the year as your children
progress in their educational journeys. I am
honored to be a partner with you in this
wonderful journey.
B’Shalom,
Renee Rudnick
Assistant Head of School
